About Me
Samantha Bowling is a Singer, Dancer and Actress from Commerce Township, Michigan. Samantha grew up performing on stage and in front of the camera. She participated in Advanced Choirs all throughout high school, and also took Piano and Guitar lessons. Samantha has a love for Musical Theatre and Dance. Some of her most notable roles include Crazy Marie (The Fairy Godmother) in R+H's Cinderella, Becca in Rabbit Hole, and Miss Hannigan in Annie, and most recently Louise/Eve in Ruthless! The Musical.
Samantha graduated from The University of Tampa with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Dance, she plans to attend Graduate School in the future.
Samantha has been studying voice for the past 15 years, studying techniques such as Classical, Musical Theatre, and Pop. She has studied with Debra Lamb with Debra Lamb Voice Studio, Dr. Alta Dantzler of Oakland University Professor Mark Lubas of The University of Tampa and Professor Deah McReynolds also of The University of Tampa. Samantha has won many awards including "Best Vocalist" at a number of dance competitions and "2nd Prize" in the Classical Competiton at the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS).
Samantha started dancing at the age of 5, and has been dancing ever since. She was a member of the competitive dance company for 11 years at American Dance Academy. She has studied Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Hawaiian/Polynesian, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre Dance. She has also studied Irish Step Dancing for the past 10 years at Michigan Irish Dance Academy. She has attended many workshops, dance conventions, and masterclasses with performers and educators from around the country.
Samantha has also studied acting with Kristina Riegle of Kristina Riegle Voice Studio, Dr. Bob Gonzalez of The University of Tampa, and Professor Paul Finocchiaro also of The University of Tampa. She has been casted in numerous short films, and has won many awards and scholarships including a scholarship to the Summer Acting Program at the New York Film Academy.
